Are you already dreaming about next year’s holidays? This list will help you book your 2025 vacation, whether it’s a weekend getaway or a summer getaway.

Lonely Planet recently released its list of the top 30 must-see travel destinations for 2025.

“Best in Travel 2025 is the latest edition of Lonely Planet’s annual love letter to the world,” said Nitya Chambers, Lonely Planet’s SVP content and executive editor, in a statement to The Post.

“Wherever you are in the world, we are confident that Best in Travel brings fresh inspiration for the year ahead.”

The list was broken down into the top ten cities, countries and regions to give avid travelers a variety of travel destinations.

Toulouse, France

The city in the south of France was named the best city to visit next year thanks to its rapidly expanding art scene – it’s a UNESCO City of Music – and meandering rivers.

Often referred to as “Paris in miniature,” the cute city is considered “a perfect weekend getaway destination, a veritable labyrinth of a city with art galleries, industrial spaces (and) upscale cafes,” Chambers told CNN.

Cameroon

If you want to explore more than just one country, Cameroon was ranked as the best place to travel.

The West African nation was chosen for its stunning beaches, uncrowded national parks and vibrant nightlife in major cities.

Charming cities including Charleston and Savannah are noted for their rich historical and cultural significance and vibrant food scene.

Two other US areas made the list although not internationally recognized US hotspots: Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and Mount Hood and the Columbia River Gorge region in Oregon.

The ‘Burgh’ was noted for blending its “industrial past with its artisanal present”, while the Pacific Northwest is loved for its outstanding natural beauty.

Lonely Planet’s original list comes shortly after National Geographic released its annual list of “World’s Best” travel destinations for 2025, which also called out another American destination not as frequented as NYC or LA — Boise, Idaho.
